Holbox Ferries

Useful Information & Ferry Times

There are currently two companies that provide the ferry service to cross to Isla Holbox: 9 brothers and Holbox Express. Both have good boats and provide the service simultaneously and with the same rate. Both ferrys take 25min to cross the lagune.

There are two different ferry companies that depart from Chiquilá (9 Brothers and Holbox Express)
The first departure from Chiquilá to Holbox is at 06:00 am
Between one company and another, ferries depart every 30 min
The cost per adult person is $150 MN (one way)
Children under 1.20m. $100 MN (one way)
Children 0-2 years travel free
Pets travel at no cost, but must carry a leash or travel box (Traveling on the top of the Ferry)
The crossing time is 25 minutes.

On arrival at Chiquilá

Upon arriving at the pier/port of Chiquilá, you may be approached by the sellers of both companies offering the service. Both offer the same service and comply perfectly with rules and requirements to make the crossing to Holbox.
